Because throughout history people have thought how we die and what happens afterward are important. And like it or not, we all do die.
Some of the most beautiful music and finest art surround the rituals and resting places of the dead. Who has not wandered in amazement through the cemeteries of great cities and small villages?
Finally, the topic interests me as a musician. I've played the harp and organ, sung and read at funerals of strangers and funerals of family. And the last music we offer for our loved ones should always be the best.
